First select a spot where you need it to be placed, and go inside the shop to order it. If you have enough dollars in the game and materials, then the Builder which you can hire from the shop will begin the construction immediatelyEach item that you can purchase from the shop need materials like for example wood logs, which you can grow in your farm. So, you need to figure out a working strategy before you start creating your town so that you'll have a good running economy to cover all costs!

Get to Know your Workers

Your Farmer is the first of many workers who you'll need in your town. Each worker has its own fuction, corresponding to various buildings you will construct in your town.

When you decide to build an available tile near a road, the Builder from the Builder House will collect and deliver the materials that the contruction needs.

3 workers of Town Star

When you need wood, select a Lumberjack House from the shop, and the Lumberjack will take care of the choppings of trees that are available in your town. When you’re ready to start a ranch in your town, a Rancher will be necessary to take care of the livestock.

Wages

Workers are the ones helping do the job requirred for your town’s success, but you need to hire a worker for a certain price per minute. The more workers in your town, the greater your per-minute wage costs will be. When you run out of money, your workers go home to sleep. But when you sell something that you've stored like wheat for examle, then the workers get out of their homes to continue work in the fields.

To learn more about wages, check out the WORKING WITH WAGES guide.

Crafting and Selling

As you buy and build your first few buildings, you’ll notice that money needs to be made, and quickly. In Town Star, money is earned by selling goods to cities in batches of 10.

The more difficult to craft, the more money you’ll make from selling a load of goods. As a brand new town, you’ll quickly be able to sell 10 Wheat for $3000. But selling only wheat won’t be enough to get you through to Gasoline production, so you’ll have to develop a strategy early. For more on this, check out the SECURING YOU CASH FLOW guide.

When you’re ready to sell 10 of something, click on the Trade Depot tile (with the truck). Choose a nearby city, specify the type of good and confirm the gasoline cost. When the Trucker returns, you’ll be able to claim your money and your Stars (points)!

Storage and Space

Farmer delivering wheat in Town Star
Luckily, this Farmer has space in his Silo!

Always remember that when you produce or craft goods, you’ll need somewhere to store them. Anything produced that doesn’t have room to be stored is wasted on the nearest road. Crops from fields are stored in a Silo, wood is stored in a Woodshed, water and energy are stored in a Warehouse, and goods like eggs, flour and salt are stored in a Storehouse. For more info on storage, check out the STORAGE FIRST, PRODUCTION SECOND guide.

Think about spacing as you start to build your town. This game is all about minimizing travel time for your workers and maximizing efficiency. Pay attention to things like how far your Farmer needs to travel from house to field, and how often he needs to water the crops.

NFTs Make it Easier

NFTs in the Town Star store

Thanks to the blockchain power of Gala Games, many game-boosting Town Star buildings and items are offered as player-owned NFTs. Some provide additional storage (Legendary Wheat Storage), some give production bonuses (Legendary Wheat Stand), and others do certain jobs faster than the standard units (Mr. Puddles). You can always give yourself an edge in Town Star by picking up a few NFTs in the store!
